The Village of Jemez Springs is seeking a Level III Wastewater Operator. The Level III Operator will be responsible for all operations and management of the Wastewater Plant and employees.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and operate treatment facility machinery and equipment
- Maintain a daily log of all operations, readings, and maintenance performed
- Conduct wastewater and sludge sampling for laboratory test and analysis; maintain accurate records of collection and treatment processes
- Train employees in all aspects of wastewater management
- Must be able to work overtime, call-outs, weekends, and holidays as needed
Requirements
- New Mexico Level III Operators Certification (maintained throughout employment)
- At least two years of hands-on experience in the wastewater field
- Valid Class D New Mexico driver’s license, or above
- Direct experience with SBR and UV systems
- Knowledge of safety rules and regulations related to operations and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, including gravity and pressure systems
- Excellent work history demonstrating dependability
